Yes, Saudi is safe for male and female visitors. Saudi has opened its doors wide to receive tourists from countries all over the world. In fact, in light of the new openness, the Saudi Airlines Group recently announced flights to 25 international destinations. Of course, as with travel to any other country in the world, be respectful of local laws and culture, including specific customs around Ramadan, and be mindful of your surroundings. Also be sure to consult travel advisories before your trip.

Arabic is the official language of Saudi Arabia and the primary language used in all dealings and public transactions. English serves as an informal second language in the Kingdom and is spoken by a large section of its society. All road signs are bilingual, showing information in both Arabic and English.

All banks in the kingdom offer currency exchange services. Exchange bureaus are located at airports, some shopping centers and various other locations throughout the country. Credit card, such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted throughout the kingdom. ATMs are also widely available.

Dress code is dependent on individual establishments, some casual, others keen on sophistication. Places of worship specifically do require you to dress modestly while visiting.
